Vietnamese Village Girl

My husband and I always had a particular affiliation with the Asian countries we visited. This portrait was painted from a photo I found on the internet and selected because I felt it represented the shy, innocent village children we met during our visits to Vietnam.
The girl’s conical hat is worn by many of the rural farming families and is symbolic of these gentle Vietnamese people.
