Freya the Basset Hound

The lady who commissioned the painting of ‘Boss the German Shepherd’ also wanted a painting to give to her son, of his basset hound, Freya.

The challenge was to capture the dog’s sweet tempered and gentle nature, and highlight those gorgeous droopy doleful eyes. When painting Freya’s long eyelashes, I was thinking most girls would die for thick long eyelashes like these!
