This commission was for a family who had recently lost a beloved member of their family, their pet dog Caspian.

The family chose a photo that encapsulated a wonderful memory of Caspian in his ‘happy place’, deep in thought as he takes his regular walk along their nearby beach.

While the focus of the painting was to be Caspian, it was important too, to show a setting of peace, tranquility and happiness, using the different lighting and shadows on the sea and sand, on a warm, sunny day at the beach.
