After completing the early portraits and as my confidence grew, I wanted to try something different, to see how versatile I could be.

I thought animals would be easier than people to paint but little did I know how long cat fur takes to paint, with all those individual hair strands! But the end result was worth it and a print of it was my first sale.

Reference was a photo taken by the award winning wildlife photographer Jarque Krebs.
